Alan Truscinski claims 3rd win of 2020 in Truscinski 1-2 finish at I-35 Speedway in Missouri9/30/2020 GREENBUSH, Minn. (September 30, 2020) - Seven POWRi Lucas Oil Minn-Kota / NLSA Lightning Sprint teams were back in action last Saturday night to take on the Midwest Lightning Sprint series at I-35 Speedway in Winston, Mo. The drivers from the upper Midwest showed their speed right from the get-go. Cody Swenson and Alan Truscinski picked up heat race wins to give the Minn-Kota / NLSA drivers two of the three heat race wins.
Minn-Kota / NLSA driver Bryce Haugeberg started the 20-lap feature from the pole position with Missouri’s Stanley Kreisel to his outside. Kreisel, who leads the POWRi Midwest Lightning Sprint point standings, grabbed the early lead. Once the race hit a green flag stretch, Alan Truscinski began working his way to the front from his fifth starting position. Truscinski took the lead at the halfway point of the race. Late in the going, 11th place starter Alex Truscinski found his way to the front as he moved by Midwest Lightning Sprint hotshoe Emma Martin. Alex and Emma battled for the second position in the closing laps as Alan Truscinski cruised to his second consecutive victory and his third of the season. Alex was able to hold on for second to complete the Truscinski 1-2 finish. Jason Berg had a strong run, advancing 10 positions to finish seventh from 17th. Other Minn-Kota / NLSA finished as follows; Bryce Haugeberg - 15th; Cody Swenson - 17th; DNS - Wesley Van Drunen; DNS - Travis Surerus. Last Saturday night was the final night of action in 2020 for the Minn-Kota / NLSA Lightning Sprints.
