August 10, 2020 - A single show was on the schedule for the Lucas Oil POWRi Minn-Kota / NLSA Lightning Sprints. Thirteen sprints checked in to battle at Greenbush Race Park with Alan Truscinski picking up the feature win.
Dexter Dvergsten continued his strong season by picking up his heat win as did Parker Monroe. Lawrence Verlarud and Dvergsten led the field to green for the 15-lap feature.

After two early cautions to start the feature, including one in which Alex Truscinski flipped down the front stretch and totaled his car, it was smooth sailing afterwards. Truscinski walked away from the wreck, but is questionable the rest of the season due to car issues.

Dvergsten jumped quickly to the lead on the restarts and sat comfortably in that spot. Lapped traffic became an issue and the leader was caught up in the wrong spot with traffic which allowed Alan Truscinski to take advantage and take over the point on lap 14.

It marked Alan Truscinski’s first win of the season after six runner-up finishes and 15 top fives through his first 16 events.

The Lightning Sprints will be back in action at the action-packed 3/10th mile River Cities Speedway this Friday. Racing starts at 7pm. If you can’t make it to the track, be sure to tune in on RiverCitiesSpeedway.tv.
