(June 10, 2020) – The NLSA Sprints will be making their first of two visits of the year to Red River Valley Speedway this Friday, June 12. Last year, the series made three appearances at the track, including the season finale on August 21st.
Jason Berg, Tim Estenson, and Alan Truscinski picked up feature wins at the 3/8th mile oval. Alex Truscinski won the first-ever NLSA event at the speedway during the 2018 season.
The POWRi Lucas Oil Minn-Kota/NLSA Lightning Sprint Series competed at Devils Lake Speedway over the weekend. With 13 cars checked in to competition, two heat races were on the card. Kelsi Pederson and Alex Truscinski went on to claim the heat wins. Lawrence Veralrud and Bryce Haugeberg paced the field to the green flag. As the race began, Alex and Alan Truscinski, Dexter Dvergsten and Pederson quickly moved their way through the field.
After a restart, Alex quickly built a lead with his father, Alan, on his bumper. Pederson remained within striking distance in third.
Alex went on to claim as the win as Alan completed the one-two Truscinski finish. Pederson, Dvergsten and Jason Berg rounded out the top five.
Following Friday's event at Red River Valley Speedway, the POWRi Lucas Oil Minn-Kota/NLSA Lightning Sprints will return to Devils Lake Speedway on Saturday.
